Victorian 34th (Cumberland) Regt Of Foot Officers Shoulder Belt, Pouch And Powder Horn

£695.00

Description

Victorian 34th (Cumberland) Regt of foot officers shoulder belt, pouch and powder horn.  Black leather shoulder belt and pouch age crazed and worn.  The pouch appears to have had a brass 34th foot pouch plate added to it at a later stage, as there seems to be a different set of 3x holes to the original ones.  Again, the shoulder belt appears to have had a brass badge and a silver officers whistle added later to the original holes.  The hallmarks to the silver officers whistle are for Edinburgh, 1864. There is also a brass lion over a victorian crown badge attached to the black leather shoulder strap.  The small horn powder flask is attached to the pouch by knotted black cord with green dangles attached to the silver attaachments at both sides.  The brass nozzle with replacement stopper is stamped "Peebles Patent No. 5", and has a brass filler at the bottom of the flask.

In good overall condion commensurate with age.
