Description
Gilt lion's head hilted EIIR presentation sword by Wilkinson (scabbard absent) Circa. 1952-2000. Overall length approx. 34 in, blade approx. 29.1/2 in. The single edged, un-fullered and un-sharpened curved blade to a shiny, but dull chrome finish, but with a patch of finger acid "old" and a few other rust spots to both sides. No stamped registration number to the top edge of the sword, but both sides at the rocasso etched with the Royal coat of arms and beneath "BY APPOINTMENT TO HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II SWORD CUTLERS" beneath this the Wilkinson crossed sword logo and the words "WILKINSON SWORD LONDON MADE IN ENGLAND". The one-piece integral cross-guard, scaley grips and lions head pommel retains its virtually mnt gilt finish. Other than its missing scabbard and a few rust marks to the blade, in good overall condition.
