A .577-450 Martini Henry artillery carbine, 37.1/4in., barrel 20.1/2in., fullstocked, engraving to the lock now absent, regulation steel mounts. The whole to a pleasing steel grey brown. The barrel has been sawn at the breach, but this welded/ repaired and with the addition of a moder sight, the carbine has been successfully target shot up until very recently There does not appear to be any markings to the stock. The bore is very good and the barrel has a modern replacement cleaning rod. Some surface pitting and age wear commensurate with age, good overall condition.
